Spanish lyric poet

1836 – Born on the 17th of February in Seville.

Educated by his godmother, studied at San Telmo’s School, then he became a pupil at Cabral-Bejarano’s Painting Studio.

1854 – Drifted to Madrid, where he obtained a small post in the civil service.

1870 – He died on 22nd of December because of pneumonia disease with some liver complications.

Wrote prose tales as El Rayo de Luna, "El beso", "La Rosa de Pasión".

Wrote in an epistolary style: "Cartas desde mi Celda" – written during his travels to Veruela’s Monastery – or "La Mujer de Piedra" or little theatre plays "La novia y el pantalón".
