1795 - Born on the 8th of February in Sichem, Belgium.

1819 - He was ordained as a priest and appointed to a little parish near Brussels.

       - Resigned and entered the Society of Jesus at Hildesheim, Hanover.

1825 - He was appointed to this duty, and went to live in Köthen.

1830 - He went to live in Vienna where he was the only Jesuit for many years.

       - Called to Rome and sent on missions to Lombardy, Hungary, and Bavaria.

1843 - He was the author of the often-translated Der Monat Maria (Month of Mary (Vienna).

1847 - Procurator for the province of Austria.

1848 - Became rector of the Jesuit college at Leuven.

1852 - Provincial of Austria and reintroduced the Jesuits to Innsbruck, Linz, and Lviv.

1853 - General of Society of Jesus.

1887 - He died on 4th of March.
