1891 – Born on the 22nd of May in Munich, Germany.

         – He studied medicine and philosophy in Munich.

         – Left his studies and became an expressionist writer.

         – After the Second World War he went to the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) and held different

cultural-political positions (Minister of Culture) in the GDR.

         – Wrote the lyrics of the GDR’s national anthem, "Auferstanden aus Ruinen" ("Risen from the Ruins").

1958 – Johannes Robert Becher died on 11th of October.
