1887 – Served as Governor of Pennsylvania.

1895 – Appointed as one of the judges of the first state Superior Court.

1914 – James Addams Beaver died on 31st of January.

         – Beaver Stadium, located on the campus of Pennsylvania State University is named in his honor.
