Batmunh, Jambyn (also Jambyn Batmonh)

Jambyn Batmonh was a Mongolian communist political leader.

1926 - Jambyn Batmonh was born in Mongolia.

1948 - Became a member of the ruling Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party.

1973 - He became the minister of science.

1974 - Member of the politburo and the prime minister (chairman of the council of ministers).

1984 - Head of state when the party's long-time leader, Yumjaagiyn Tsedenbal was ousted in a party congress.

1990 - Batmonh resigned as head of state in just before Mongolia's first multiparty elections.
