1762 - Born on May 22nd. British statesman, elder son of the 2nd Earl Bathurst, who was a prominent Tory in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

         - He was also known as Baron Bathurst Of Battlesden, Lord Apsley and Baron Of Apsley.

1783 - Bathurst was member of Parliament for Cirencester.

         - He was a lord of the Admiralty.

1789 - He was lord of the Treasury.

1793 - He became the commissioner of the Board of Control for India.

1794 - He succeeded to the earldom as the 3rd Earl.

1804 - Returning to office with Pitt in May, he became master of the mint and was president of the Board of Trade and master of the mint during the ministries of the Duke of Portland and Spencer Perceval.

1809 - He was in charge of the Foreign Office.

1812 - He vacate his posts in June to become secretary for war and the colonies under the Earl of Liverpool.

1817 - He was made a knight of the Garter.

1827 - He was secretary for war and the colonies until Liverpool resigned and deserves some credit for improving the conduct of the Peninsular War.

1828 - He was lord president of the council in the government of the Duke of Wellington.

1834 - Died on July 27th in London, England.
