Bashev, Ivan Khristo(Ivan Basev)

1916 - Ivan Hristov Bashev was born 11th of February in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Ivan Bashev graduated in law prior to joining the communist party.

1944-1946 - He was editor-in-chief of the national daily Narodna Mladezh.

1946 - He joined the Bulgarian Communist Party.

1956 - Bashev was appointed deputy minister of education.

1962-1971 - Bashev elected Bulgarian foreign minister.

1968 - Ivan Bashev became the first visitor of a East-European Foreign Minister to Reykjavík, Iceland.

1971 - On 13th of December Bashev was found frozen to death.
