1877 – Jules Basdevant is a French jurist was born 15th of April in Anost.

 

1903 – After obtaining his Ph.D. in law, he began teaching at the law faculty in Paris.

 

1903-1907 – He was transferred to the law faculty of Rennes.

 

1907-1918 – He went to Grenoble, where he was a professor.

 

1919 – Became a technical expert for the French delegation at the Peace preliminary conference.

 

1922 – He is a profesoor of international law and historical treaties.

 

1924 – Served as professor of people’s law.

 

1930-1941 – He worked for the Foreign Affairs Department as a law consultant.

 

1944 – Elected a member of the Academy of Political and Moral Sciences.

 

1949-1952 – He served as 2nd President of International Court of Justice.

 

1964 – Presided as a judge for the International Court of Justice .

 

1968 – Jules Basdevant died 17th of March.

 

Jules Basdevant is the father of Suzanne Bastid.
