Basdevant, Jules

1877 - Jules Basdevant is a French jurist was born 15th of April in Anost.

1903 - After obtaining his Ph.D. in law, he began teaching at the law faculty in Paris.

1903-1907 - He was transferred to the law faculty of Rennes.

1907-1918 - He went to Grenoble, where he was a professor.

1919 - Became a technical expert for the French delegation at the Peace preliminary conference.

1922 - He is a profesoor of international law and historical treaties.

1924 - Served as professor of people's law.

1930-1941 - He worked for the Foreign Affairs Department as a law consultant.

1944 - Elected a member of the Academy of Political and Moral Sciences.

1949-1952 - He served as 2nd President of International Court of Justice.

1964 - Presided as a judge for the International Court of Justice .

1968 - Jules Basdevant died 17th of March.

Jules Basdevant is the father of Suzanne Bastid.
