1886 - Karl Barth was born 10th of May in Basel, Switzerland.

 

1911-1921 - Served as a Reformed pastor in the village of Safenwil in the canton Aargau.

 

1913 - Married Nell Hoffman, a talented violinist.

 

1919 - Barth authored the book Der Römerbrief, The Epistle to the Romans.

 

1921-1925 - Served as professor of theology in Göttingen.

 

1927 - Wrote Die Lehre vom Worte Gottes: Prolegomena zur christlichen Dogmatik.

 

1932 - Barth published the first part-volume of the Dogmatics.

 

1947 - Together with Hans-Joachim Iwand, he authored the Darmstadt Statement.

 

1959 - He wrote "Den Gefangenen Befreiung: Predigten aus den Jahren 1954-1959".

 

1962 - Visited the USA, where he lectured at Princeton Theological Seminary and the University of Chicago.

 

1968 - Karl Barth died on the 10th of December in Basel, Switzerland.
