1930 – Lionel Bart was born 1st of August in London.


1959 – His first musical was Lock Up Your Daughters, based on an 18th century play by Henry Fielding.


          – Followed by Fings Ain’t Wot They Used T’Be.


1960 – He wrote the music lyrics, and book for musical Oliver!.


1963 – Lionel composed theme for movie "From Russia with Love".


1999 – Bart died 3rd of April after a long hard struggle with cancer.
