1858 - He was born on March 26th in Santiago. Chilean politician, who became the vice president of Chile.

1880-1884 - He graduated and became a lawyer, he held a position in the Supreme Court.

1894-1918 - He was the Foreign Minister and Minister of the Hacienda.

         - He was Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cult and Colonization.

         - He was Minister of War and Navy.

1920 - He was defeated by Arturo Alessandri Palma during the election.

1925 - He occupied the position as the Vice President of Chile after the resignation of Alessandri.

1943 - He died on the 26th of July.
