1897 - Stringfellow Barr was born 15th of January in Suffolk, Virginia USA.
1937-1946 - Barr served as president of St. John's College in Annapolis.
1948-1958 - He established and was president of the Foundation for World Government.
1950 - Stringfellow Barr taught classics at Rutgers College in Newark, New Jersey.
1959 - Barr was one of a number of signatories to a petition asking the U. S. Congress to abolish the House Committee on Unamerican Activities.
1982 - Stringfellow Barr died 3rd of February in Alexandria, Virginia.
Stringfellow Barr introduced great books curriculum at St. John's College.
