1874 - Ernest William Barnes was born 1st of April.

 

1893 - He was educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham and Trinity College, Cambridge.

 

1897 - Ernest William Barnes was placed in the first division of the first class in Part II of the Mathematical Tripos.

 

1902 - He was appointed a lecturer in mathematics.

 

1906-1908 - Ernest William Barnes served as junior dean and a tutor.

 

1906-1915 - Barnes was ordained deacon by the Bishop of London and served as Junior Dean of Trinity.

 

1915 - Barnes left Cambridge, and his career as a professional mathematician.

 

1918 - Ernest William Barnes became the Canonry of Westminster.

 

1924-1952 - He became the Bishopric of Birmingham.

 

1907 - Ernest William Barnes graduated Sc.D. of the University of Cambridge.

 

1909 - He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society.

 

1915-1919 - Ernest William Barnes was Master of the Temple.

 

1924 - Barnes was made Bishop of Birmingham.

 

1953 - Ernest William Barnes died at his home in Sussex at the age of seventy nine.
