Clive Barker is an English-born American-resident author, film director and visual artist.

 

1952 - Clive Barker was born 5th of October in Liverpool, England.

 

He studied English and philosophy at Liverpool University.

 

1984-1986 - Clive Barker wrote short stories (collected in Books of Blood 1 - 6).

 

1985 - He wrote the novel The Damnation Game.

 

1987 - Clive Barker moved towards epic modern-day fantasy and urban fantasy with horror elements in "Weaveworld".

   

         - He also wrote the most successful "Hellraiser".

 

1989 - He wrote "The Great and Secret Show".

 

1991 - Clive Barker wrote The world-spanning Imajica.

 

1993 - Barker achieved his dream of publishing his own superhero books when Marvel Comics launched the Razorline.

 

1995 - Barker illustrating his own paintings that can be seen on the covers of the collections of his plays, Incarnations.

 

1996 - Clive Barker wrote the "Sacrament'.

 

2006 - Barker announced that he will be writing the script to a forthcoming remake of the original Hellraiser movie.
