1878 - Born in Burlington, Iowa on the 28th of July.

1930 - Ballard visited Mt. Shasta, California, where he reported meeting another hiker who identified himself as Saint Germain, who offered to tutor him in the wisdom of the Ascended Masters.

         - The "I AM" Activity started from public lectures about these encounters and grew rapidly.

1938 - There were claimed to be about a million followers in the United States.

1939 - Ballard and his wife were charged and convicted of mail fraud. Although the conviction was later overturned, the conviction began the decline, but not demise, of the movement.

         - Died on the 29th of December.
