1960 - 1962 - He became the President of Eastern Co.

 

1962 - Chairman and chief executive officer of Scovill, Inc., Waterbury, Connecticut.

 

1980 - Nominated by President Ronald Reagan on the 11th of December as Secretary of Commerce.

 

1981 - His nomination as the new Secretary of Commerce was confirmed by the United States on the 22th of January.

 

1982 - Baldrige was named by the President to chair a Cabinet-level Trade Strike Force.

 
       - Malcolm Baldrige with Imelda Marcos Leading the Administration's effort to pass the Export Trading Company.

 

1987 - Malcolm Baldrige died 25th of July in a rodeo accident in California.
