Italian aviator, blackshirt leader

1896 – Born on the 6th of June in in Quartesana, near Ferrara, Italy.

1923 – Charged with the murder of anti-fascist parish priest Giuseppe Minzoni in Argenta.

1924 – Fled to Rome, and became General Commander of the Fascist militia.

1925 – He served as undersecretary for National Economy.

1926 – Appointed Secretary of State for Air.

1928 – He became General of the Air Force.

1929 – Served as Minister of the Air Force.

1933 – Appointed governor general of Italian-held Libya.

Visited Rome to express his displeasure with Mussolini’s support for Hitler.

1940 – Killed on 28th of June while on a reconnaissance flight on top of Italian positions in Tobruk, Libya.
