1915 - Born on the 23rd of September.
He was well known as a teacher and served as a faculty member at the Juilliard School.
He made many recordings with conductors such as Bruno Walter and Leonard Bernstein, and was a member of the Cleveland Orchestra.
He is the solo flutist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Columbia Symphony Orchestra.
1946-1964 - He was one of the founding members of the Bach Aria Group.
2003 - Baker died on 8th of August after a long and distinguished career as an orchestral flutist.
