Bagaza, Jean Baptiste

1946 - Born on the 29th of August in Murambi, Rwanda.

1976-1987 - Chairman of the Supreme Revolutionary Council and became the President of Burundi. 

1987 - The coup happened, and Pierre Buyoya overthrew him.

1987-1993 - He then lived in Uganda.

1998 - Buyoya put him under house arrest for allegedly plotting another coup.

2002 - Returned back to his country promising to contribute to the troubled central African country's future.

2003 - Released after six months of house arrest on 4th of April.
