Baedeker, Karl

1801 - Born on the 3rd of November in Essen, Prussia.

1827 - Started his publishing company in Koblenz.

1832 - The Baedeker's company bought another Koblenz publisher (Friedrich Röhling).

1828 - Published a handbook for travelers by J. A. Klein, under the title Rheinreise von Mainz bis Köln.

1844 - He augmented this with star ratings for attractions.

1847 - Baedeker was famous for his  very careful work, This year he visit Milan Cathedral.

1859 - Karl Baedeker died on 4th of October.
