Bachmann, Carl George

1890 - Carl G. Bachmann was born 14th of May in Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia.

1908 - Attended the public schools; was graduated from Linsly Institute, Wheeling, West Virginia.

1913 - Studied in Washington and Jefferson College, Washington, Pa., for two years.

1914 - Married Susan Louise Smith. They had three children: Charles F., Gilbert S. and Susan Jane.

1915 - Graduated from law school at West Viginia University and commenced practice in Wheeling.

1917 - Appointed assistant prosecuting attorney of Ohio County

1921-1925 - Elected prosecuting attorney.

1925-1933 - He was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-ninth and to the three succeeding Congresses

1947 - Served Mayor of Wheeling West Virginia until 1951.

1980 - He died 22nd of January in Wheeling West Virginia.
