1947 - Joe Baca is an American politician was born 23rd of January.

 

1971 - Graduated BA Sociology, California State University Los Angeles.

 

1979 - First Latino ever elected to the board of Trustees of the San Bernardino Valley College District.

 

1989 - He and his wife, Barbara, began their own business as partners in Interstate World Travel in San Bernardino.

 

1998 - Elected to the California State Senate where he served on the Rules Committee, which is responsible for confirming Governor's appointments.

 

1999 -  Served as United States Congress as Representative (43rd District, California) in a special election, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative George Brown.

 

2004 -  Baca was the main target of Political Human Sacrifice, a published of the John and Ken Show on KFI AM 640 to defeat Members of Congress considered to be sensitive to the California illegal immigrant community.

 

First Vice Chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and serves as chair of the CHC Corporate America Task Force, which aims to increase Hispanic representation in corporate America.
