Azzam, Abdullah Yusuf
Died: 1989 AD, at 48 years of age.

1941 - Azzam was born in the village of As-ba'ah Al-Hartiyeh of Jenin.
1955 - Completed his elementary and secondary school education in his home village.
1956-1960 - He went to Khadori College and studied agriculture.
1961 - Worked as a teacher in the south Jordanian village of Adder.
1966 - He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Damascus.
1968 - He joined the Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood after he left the West Bank.
1969 - Went to Egypt to study at Cairo's Al-Azhar University where he pursued Islamic studies and earned his master's degree.
1973 - Obtained his Ph.D in the Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence thru a scholarship.
1974-1979 - Worked as lecturer at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It is where he met Osama Bin Laden.
1980 - Taught at International Islamic University in Islamabad and established Maktab al-Khadamat to organize guest houses in Peshawar and training camps in preparation for the Afghan war front.
1981-1985 - Azzam frequently joined Afghan militias and international Muslim units as they battled the Soviet Union's forces in Afghanistan.
1989 - On the 2th of November, Azzam and and his two sons were killed as unknown assassins detonated land mines as his vehicle approached the mosque.
