1893 - Born in Galicia. Israeli lawyer and mayor of Jerusalem.
1914 - He immigrated from Austria.
1934 - He had been active in Jerusalem municipal affairs, under the British Mandatory administration.
1944 - Daniel Auster was appointed mayor by the British High Commissioner after the death of Mustafa Al-Khalidi.
1947 - He represented the Jewish case against the internationalization of Jerusalem before the United Nations.
1949-1950 - Became the Mayor of Jerusalem.
