1919 - Dropped out of high school to marry her first serious boyfriend, J. Dryden Kuser.
1929 - She filed for divorce on 15th of February in Reno, Nevada.
1932 - Her second marriage was to stockbroker Charles Marshall, a man of more modest means and kinder temperament.
She wrote for House And Garden magazine, and eventually became an editor there.
1953 - Married her third and final husband, Vincent Astor the chairman of the board of Newsweek magazine and the last notably rich American member of the famous Astor family.
1997 - She continues to be active in charities and in New York's social life.
- The New York Public Library was always one of Astor's favorite charities.
1998 - Astor was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
2006 - suffered from Alzheimer's disease, and she became the subject of a lawsuit alleging elder abuse.
