         – He also attended the University of Pennsylvania where he was a track star.

 

1914 – 1920 – He coached track and cross country at the University of Maine, Michigan State and Iowa State as well as the U.S. Olympic squads going to Sweden and Paris.

 

1924 – 1961 – He coached track at West Virginia University.

 

1952 – He was honored for his long service by the IC4A in New York, by the University of Main at the 40th anniversary reunion of that school"s only national championship team.

 

1957 – Awarded by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association at its victory awards dinner.

 

1961 – Died this year at age 77.
