Apithy, Sourou Migan
1913 - Born on the 8th of April in Brodeaux, Benin.
1945 - Before his country acquired its independence, he was part of Dahomey's Constitutive Assembly and was re-elected for a number of terms.
1957-1958 - When Hubert Maga nominated him to that function, he was also the prime minister of Dahomey (Benin).
1960 - He had become vice president of the Republic.
1964-1965 - He served as the president of Benin, when he was overthrown by Christophe Soglo after infighting among the members of the government.
1970 - After this event he fled to Paris for the first time but he returned to Cotonou after the coup, when he became a member of the Presidential Triumvirate during the early 70s.
1972 - He was put under arrest alongside Ahomadegbe and Maga.
1989 - He died in exile in his Paris house, on the 3rd of December, shortly before the transition to democracy in his country.
