Anderson, Clyde Elmer (C. Elmer)
1912 - Anderson was born in Brainerd, Minnesota on March 16th. American Republican politician.
1926 - His first job was delivering newspapers, while helping out on the family farm near Brainerd.
1928 - He attended the University of Minnesota hoping to become a doctor, but could not continue his studies because of financial constraints.
1937 - Anderson married Lillian Otterstad and they had 3 children.
1939 - Anderson's political career began, when he began serving two terms as the lieutenant governor of Minnesota.
1945-1951 - He was defeated for a third term, but was again elected to that post.
- Anderson was appointed governor, himself, when Governor Luther W. Youngdahl accepted an appointment to a federal judgeship.
1960 - Anderson was elected mayor of Nisswa, Minnesota and served two years in that post.
1976-1986 - He went on to serve as mayor of Brainerd, Minnesota.
1998 - He died on January 22nd at the age of 85.
