1530 - Born at Flixborough or Broughton. An English jurist, Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas.
1550 - He became a student of the Inner Temple.
1579 - Was appointed sergeant-at-law to Queen Elizabeth, and also an assistant judge on circuit.
1582 - Appointed lord chief justice of the Common Pleas, and was knighted.
1586 - Anderson was also one of the commissioners appointed to try Mary queen of Scots.
1605 - Died on August 1st at Eyworth in Bedfordshire.
