1976 - 2005 Enlisted in the US Army as a Private in 1976 and retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Corps of Engineer in 2005.

2002 Received Leadership Award in the Area of Affirmative Actions. A national Department of Defense Women of Color Award and a First in this category for an Army Leader.

2004 CEO & Founder of MG Center For Excellence the center provide community development programs and  services to help under-privileged families in communities.
