1918 - Louis Pierre Altusser was born in Birmendreis, Algeria on the 16th of October.

 

1937 - He joined the Catholic youth movement Jeunesse Etudiante Chretienne.

 

1946 - He met Helene Rytman and married her.

 

1947 - He received electroconvulsive therapy.

 

1948 - He joined the French Communist Party.

 

1980 - He killed his wife on the 16th of November.

 

1983 - He was diagnosed as suffering from diminished responsibility and remained in the hospital.

 

1990 - He died of heart attack in Paris, France on the 23rd of October.
