1989 – She won the Koussevitzky Conducting Prize at the Tanglewood Music Center.

1991 – She was a music director of the Cabrillo Music Festial in Santa Cruz, California.

1993 – She was a music director of the Colorado Symphony where her innovative programming has won severalnational awards.

1999 – Made her debut with the New York Philharmonic at the Lincoln Center was described by the New York Times as supple, vibrant and an impassioned performance.

2002 – She was appointed as Principal Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in Britain. She conducts the Komische Opera in Berlin.
