Alsop, Marin
1956 - Marin Alsop was born on the 16th of October.
1989 - She won the Koussevitzky Conducting Prize at the Tanglewood Music Center.
1991 - She was a music director of the Cabrillo Music Festial in Santa Cruz, California.
1993 - She was a music director of the Colorado Symphony where her innovative programming has won severalnational awards.
1999 - Made her debut with the New York Philharmonic at the Lincoln Center was described by the New York Times as supple, vibrant and an impassioned performance.
2000 - She conducted her first production of La Traviata.
2002 - She was appointed as Principal Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in Britain. She conducts the Komische Opera in Berlin.
2003 - She was voted Gramophone magazine's Artist of the Year and won the Royal Philharmonic Society's conductor's award.
2004 - She conducted Nixon in China.
2005 - She was appoited to lead the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra on July 2005. She was the first conductor who received the MacArthur Fellowship on the 20th of September.
