Alli, Waheed (Baron Alli of Norbury)

1964 - Alli was born in South London on November 16, 1964.

1985 - Alli and Charlie Parsons founded their own company, 24 Hour Productions.

1992 - Alli's company merged with Planet Pictures which resulted to Planet 24.

1995 - Planet 24 aired the tv show Gaytime TV for the BBC.

1998 - Took his place in the House of Lords on July 21, 1998. He was the youngest and the first gay peer in Parliament.

1999 - Planet 24 was sold to Carlton Communications and Alli became a board director of Carlton Communications.

2001 - He is part owner of Shine Limited, a media production company he co-founded with Elisabeth Murdoch.
