1848 - Allen was born in Ontario, Canada on February 24, 1848.
1868 - Studied in the United Kingdom and France.
1873 - Became a professor at Queen's College in Jamaica.
1876 - Concentrated his life in writing in which he gained fame and recognition.
1877 - Published his scientific book entitled Physiological Aesthetics.
1886 - Published his scientific book entitled Flowers and Their Pedigrees.
1895 - Published his scandalous book entitled The Woman Who Did, which became a bestseller. He pioneered the Canadian science fiction with his book entitled The British Barbarians.
1897 - Wrote the book entitled The Evolution of the Idea of God.
1899 - Died in Surrey, England on October 25, 1899.
