1935 - He worked as a commercial pilot before signing a contract with Columbia Pictures. His first movie was Love Me Forever in which he won a Box Office Award.
1936 - He was the opposite of Grace Moore in the movie When You're in Love.
1964 - Worked as a real estate broker.
1998 - Died of complications from cancer on October 9, 1998.
