1859 – Henry Tureman Allen was born in Sharpsburg, Kentucky on April 13, 1859.
1882 – He attended Georgetown College in Kentucky and was commissioned in the cavalry upon his graduation from West Point.
1882-1917 – He was an aide to General Nelson A. Miles.
1917 – He was promoted to brigadier general on May 1917 and to major genral on August 5 1917. He assumed command of Camp Travis in San Antonio on August 23, 1917 and supervised the assignment of Texas and Oklahoma draftees to the new Ninetieth Division.
1918 – He left the Ninetieth to become commander of the Eighth Corps.
1919 – He commanded the American forces in Germany July 1919.
1930 – He died in Buena Vista Springs, Pennsylvania on August 30, 1930.
