1894 - Fred Allen was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on May 31, 1894.

 

1932 - He made a successful shows which led to his full-time entry to radio.

 

1936 - He became a radio comedian.

 

1937 - He hatched a running gag together with Jack Benny.

 

1940 - He moved back to CBS with a new sponsor and show name entitled Texaco Star Theater.

 

1942 - He shorten the show to half an hour.

 

1946-1947 - He had the top-ranked radio show.

 

1949 - He left the radio.

 

1955 - He became a panelist on What's My Line.

 

1956 - He died in New York City on March 17, 1956.
