1883 - Alexander Vasilyevich Alexandrov was born in Plakhino, Moscow on the 13th of April.
1918 - He became a professor of music in Moscow.
1937 - His choir participated successfully in the Universal Exposition in Paris.
1942 - He was commissioned to create a new Soviet national anthem.
1944 - The New Soviet national anthem was officially adopted on the 1st of January.
1946 - He died while he was on tour in Berlin on the 8th of July.
