1922 - Alexander was born in Toronto, Canada on the 21st of January.
1940 - Joined the Royal Canadian Air Force during the World War II.
1963 - 1979 was a partner in an Hamiilton , Ontario Law Firm
1965 was appointed as Queen's councel after having studied at McMaster University (Hamiilton, Ontario) and Osgoode Hall (Law School, Toronto, Ontario)
1968 - Became the first canadian black to be elected as Member of Parliament to the Canadian House of Commons as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada.
1976-1978 - Acted as an observer to the United Nations.
1979-1980 - Became the Minister of Labour in the federal cabinet.
1981 - Became te Chairman of the Worker's Compensation Board of Ontario.
1985-1991 - Appointed by Governor General Jeanne Sauve as the 24th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.
1991 - He was awarded the Order of Ontario and became a Companion of the Order of Canada.
1993 - to commemorate his term as Lieutenat Governor the Province of Ontario created the Lincoln M. Alexander Annual Award to recognize yough wo have demonstrated exemplary leadership in eliminating racial discrimination.
