Alexander, Joshua Willis
1852 - Joshua Willis Alexander was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on the 2nd of January.
1863 - Alexander settled in Missouri.
1872 - Graduated from Christian University in Caton, Missouri.
1877-1881 - He became a Public Administrator of Daviess County, Missouri.
1882-1901 - He became a secretary and then president of the Board of Education of Gallatin, Missouri.
1883-1887 - He became a member of the Missouri State House of Representatives.
1891-1892 - He became a mayor of Gallatin, Missouri.
1901-1907 - He became a judge of the seventh Judicial Circuit of Missouri.
1907-1919 - He was elected as a Democrat to the Sixtieth and to the six succedding Congresses from March 4, 1907 to December 15, 1919.
1919-1921 - He became a United States Secretary of Commerce in the Cabinet of President Wilson from December 16, 1919 to March 4, 1921.
1922 - He was delegated at large to the Missouri State Constitutional Convention.
1936 - He died in Gallatin, Missouri on the 27th of February.
