1845 - Alexander III was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia on the 10th of March.
1865 - Studied the principles of law and administration under Konstantin Pobedonostsev.
1866 - Married Princess Dagmar od Denmark, widow of his brother Nicholas. The marriage was requested by Nicholas when he was about to die.
1881-1894 - Became Ruler of Russia on March 14, 1881. Adopted the opposite policy that his father proposed. Cancelled the publishing of the ukaz and announced that he had no intention of limiting or weakening the autocratic power which he had inherited from his ancestors. Died on November 1, 1894.
