Aleman, Arnoldo(Jose Arnoldo Aleman Lacayo)
1946 - Aleman was born in Managua on January 23, 1946.
1964 - Received his degree in law at the National Autonomous University of Leon.
1968-1979 - Worked as as a lawyer in the commercial and banking world.
1990 - Became Mayor of Managua.
1996 - Campaigned for president under Nicaragua's Liberal Party.
1997-2002 - Became the President of Nicaragua. At the end of his term he was charged and found guilty of money laundering, embezzlement and corruption.
2003 - He was sentenced to a 20-year prison term and because of health reasons he is serving his term on his private ranch.
