1963 - Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu was born on the 15th day of August 1963, in Mexico City, Mexico
1991 – He established Zeta Films, an organization which is involved with advertising and short films.
1995 - He made his first half-length feature, “Detras del dinero” with Miguel Bose, a Spanish actor/singer.
1999 – He directed "Amores Perros/Love's a Bitch," his debut film as a director; He is also the co-writer of the film with Guillermo Arriaga; nominated for Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award.
2001 - He made "Powder Keg", a short advertisement for BMW shown over the Internet at bmwfilms.com
2003 – Filmed his feature U.S. debut “21 Grams starring Sean Penn, Naomi Watts and Benicio del Toro; this movie was written by Guillermo Arriaga
2006 – Made “Babel”, an ensemble feature consisting of four stories in Japan, Morocco, Tunisia and Mexico, starring Gael García Bernal, Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt; nominated as Best Director and Best Picture (Drama) for Golden Globe Awards; nominated by Directors Guild of America
2007 – Nominated as Oscars Best Director for the movie “Babel”
