Albright, William Foxwell
1891 - Albright was born in Coquimbo, Chile on May 24, 1891.
1913 - Received his Ph.D from Johns Hopkins University.
1929-1959 - Albright taught and became the director of the American school of Oriental Research at Johns Hopkins.
1921 - Married to Dr. Ruth Norton in Jerusalem.
1923 - Albright made the first significant excavation of a tumulus near Jerusalem.
1925-1960 - He contributed to the field of Biblical Archaeology through his study of the LMLK seals.
1926-1932 - He excavated a mound named Tell Beit Mirsim near Hebron and identified this site with the Canaanite city of Debir.
1971 - Died in Baltimore,MD on September 19, 1971.
