1967 - He was the voice of the New York Knicks on radio and television.

1994 - He handled the radio call of the Rangers' Stanley Cup-clinching victory.

1997 - He was involved in a sex scandal and was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery charges.

       - He was given a 12-month suspended sentence and ordered to continue undergoing counseling.

1999 - He was the lead play-by-play announcer for National Basketball Association games on
        TNT (Turner Network Television).

2005 - He became the lead play-by-play man for the New Jersey Nets.

2006 - He was inducted into the Nassau County Sports Hall of Fame.
