1860 - Albeniz was born in Catalonia, Spain on May 29, 1860.

 

1864 - At the age of four, he was already considered a child prodigy.

 

1867 - He passed the entrance examination at the Paris Conservatoire at the age of seven.

 

1875 - At the age of fifteen, he already traveled the globe performing concerts.

 

1876 - Studied in Brussel after his stay at the Leipzig Conservatory.

 

1880 - Went to Budapest to study with Franz Liszt.

 

1883 - Met Felipe Pedrell, a teacher and composer, inspired him to write music in Spanish.

 

1890 - Wrote theatrical works while living in London and Paris.

 

1896 - Composed "Pepita Jimenez" for the opera.

 

1900 - Diagnosed with a kidney disease.

 

1909 - Died in Cambo-les-Bains on May 18, 1909.
