1930 - Akkad was born in Aleppo, Syria on July 1, 1930.
1950 - Went to United States to study at the University of California.
1953 - Received his master's degree at University of Southern California.
1960 - Akkad met Sam Peckinpah and became his mentor in Hollywood.
1976 - Akkad is the producer and director of Mohammad, Messenger of God.
1978 - Produced the movie "Halloween" and became known for his key involvement in the first eight Halloween movies.
1980 - Directed the movie "Lion of the Desert" tells about the story of Bedouin leader Omar Mukhtar.
1988-2002 - Akkad was the executive producer of the Halloween films.
2005 - Died on November 11, 2005 due to terrorist attacks.
