1949 - Born on the 3rd of December. 1970 - He finished fourth placed during the Commonwealth Games.
1972 - He Won the 400 m hurdles in the Summer Olympics in Munich setting a World Record time of 47.82s.
1976 - He was freed by his shoe-manufacturer Puma and lived in Germany until the regime of Idi Amin ended.
- Missed the 76' Olympics because of the African boycott, police officer Akii-Bua was even arrested.
1997 - He died on the 20th of June and was the first Olympic champion from Uganda.
