1949 – Born on the 3rd of December. 1970 – He finished fourth placed during the Commonwealth Games.


1972 – He Won the 400 m hurdles in the Summer Olympics in Munich setting a World Record time of 47.82s.


1976 – He was freed by his shoe-manufacturer Puma and lived in Germany until the regime of Idi Amin ended.


– Missed the 76′ Olympics because of the African boycott, police officer Akii-Bua was even arrested.


1997 – He died on the 20th of June and was the first Olympic champion from Uganda.
