1889 - Akhmatova was born in Bolshoy Fontan, Odessa on June 23, 1889.
1900 - At the tender age of eleven, Anna started writing her poems
1910 - Married Nikolay Gumilyov, boyish poet.
1912 - Published her first collections of poetry entitled Evening.
1914 - Published her second collections of poetry entitled Rosary.
1921- Her husband was executed for activities considered anti-Soviet.
1925-1952 - After the incident that happened to her husband, she became so silent that she was unable to publish her poetry. Translated Leopardi.
1965 - Received the taormina Prize and the honorary doctoral degree from Oxford University.
