1918 – Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad was born in the village of Daspara in Daudkandi Upazila of Comilla District.
1942 – Completed the Law degree in the University of Dhaka and joined the politics.
1954 – Ahmad was elected a member of the East Pakistan Provincial Assembly as a candidate of the United Front and been jailed with the other Bengali leaders.
1955 – Ahmad was released and elected as a chief whip of the United Front parliamentary party.
1958 – Arrested by the regime of Ayub Khan.
1966 – Ahmad was jailed again during the 6 Point Movement.
1970 – Elected as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
1975 – Ahmad was given a charge of the ministry of commerce and served as the president of Bangladesh from August 15 until November 6, 1975.
1978 – Ahmad was imprisoned by the Mosharraf regime and later by th regime of Ziaur Rahman.
1996 – Died in Dhaka on March 5, 1996.
